If required, we can arrange to collect your device from your home or business and return it to you once the repair has been completed. Collection and delivery services are subject to availability and applicable charges.

- A detailed description of the problem or fault

Once we receive your enquiry, one of our technicians will review the information and contact you to discuss the fault, provide an estimated repair cost where possible, and explain the next steps.
Please note that any quotation provided before inspection is an estimate only. A final quotation may be provided after our technicians have completed a full diagnostic assessment. No additional repair work will be carried out without your approval.
Mail-In Repair Service – Terms & Conditions
At PLAN It PC, we strive to provide a professional, reliable and transparent repair service. Please read the following terms carefully before sending your device to us for repair.
By submitting a repair request or sending your device to PLAN It PC, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
Before Sending Your Device
Before sending your device for repair, you should:
- Back up all important files and personal data.
- Remove passwords, PIN codes, screen locks and security accounts where possible.
- Sign out of Apple ID, Google Account and other activation services.
- Remove any SIM cards, memory cards or personal accessories unless specifically requested.
Although every reasonable care is taken during repairs, PLAN It PC cannot accept responsibility for the loss of personal data. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that their data is backed up before sending a device for repair.
Sending Your Device
Customers are responsible for packaging their devices securely to prevent damage during transport.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured postal or courier service.
Until the device has been delivered to PLAN It PC, the risk of loss or damage remains with the sender. If a shipment is lost or damaged during transit before reaching us, any claim should be made directly with the courier or postal service used.
Likewise, if you choose not to insure your parcel, PLAN It PC cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage that occurs while the device is in transit to our premises.
Repair Risks
Electronic repairs can be complex and, in some cases, faults may not be fully identifiable until diagnostic work has begun.
Certain repairs—particularly those involving liquid damage, motherboard repairs, microsoldering or physically damaged devices—carry an increased risk of additional component failure due to the existing condition of the device.
While our technicians take every reasonable precaution, some devices may prove beyond economical or technical repair.
Where additional faults are discovered during diagnosis, we will contact you before carrying out any further chargeable work.
Repair Estimates
Any quotation or estimate provided is based on the information available at the time.
If further faults are discovered after inspection, we will contact you with an updated quotation before proceeding.
No additional repair work will be carried out without your approval.
Warranty on Repairs
PLAN It PC provides a 60-day repair warranty from the date your repaired device is collected or delivered back to you.
This warranty applies only to the specific repair or replacement part supplied by PLAN It PC.
The warranty does not extend to unrelated faults, pre-existing defects, software issues, accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, electrical surges, normal wear and tear, or any subsequent fault that is not directly connected to the original repair.
If another unrelated fault develops during the warranty period, it will be treated as a separate repair.
Opening, modifying or having the repaired device worked on by another repair provider during the warranty period may void the repair warranty.
This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under Irish consumer law.
Parts
Where replacement parts are required, we will advise you before ordering them.
We normally supply and install our own replacement parts to ensure compatibility and quality.
If you request that we install parts supplied by you, we cannot provide a warranty on those parts or guarantee their performance.
Repair Times
Repair times are estimates only.
Although many repairs are completed within 24–72 hours, delays may occur due to diagnostics, parts availability or manufacturer supply chains.
We cannot guarantee completion within a specific timeframe.
Data
Customers remain responsible for safeguarding their own data.
Although every reasonable effort is made to preserve information stored on your device, repairs may require software restoration, operating system installation or hardware replacement that could result in data loss.
PLAN It PC accepts no responsibility for data lost during the repair process.
Collection & Storage
Once your repair has been completed, we will notify you that your device is ready for collection or dispatch.
Please collect your device within 60 days of notification.
Devices not collected within this period may incur reasonable storage charges.
If a device remains uncollected after repeated attempts to contact you and after a reasonable period permitted by law, PLAN It PC reserves the right to recover unpaid repair, storage and administrative costs in accordance with applicable Irish law.
Consumer Rights
Nothing contained within these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the Sale of Goods legislation, or any other applicable Irish or European Union consumer protection laws.
