Claiming Warranty

Warranty Policy

At PLAN It PC, we are committed to supplying quality products and providing excellent after-sales support. This Warranty Policy explains how warranty claims are handled and is in addition to your statutory rights under Irish and European Union consumer law.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Most products sold by PLAN It PC are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods and conditions vary depending on the product and manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranties are provided in addition to your legal rights and do not replace or limit your statutory consumer rights under Irish law.

Please note that, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer, rechargeable batteries are generally covered by a 6-month manufacturer's warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has developed a fault during the warranty period, you may choose either of the following options:

  • Contact the product manufacturer directly to arrange warranty support (where applicable).
  • Submit a warranty request through PLAN It PC using our Warranty/Returns Request Form.

Our team will review your request and guide you through the warranty process.

Warranty Assessment

Before authorising a warranty return, we may ask you to carry out basic troubleshooting to help identify the issue. This often resolves common problems without the need to return the product.

If a return is required, we will provide instructions for returning your product. Where applicable, a prepaid return label or collection service may be arranged.

Repairs, Replacements & Refunds

If a product is confirmed to have a manufacturing fault covered under warranty, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Irish consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • Repair of the product
  • Replacement with the same model
  • Replacement with an equivalent or higher specification product (where the original product is no longer available)
  • A refund, where repair or replacement is not possible or appropriate

Any refund provided will comply with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and applicable EU legislation.

Outlet & Clearance Products

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, products sold within our Outlet or Clearance range are supplied with a 6-month warranty.

This warranty does not affect any statutory rights you may have where consumer protection legislation applies.

Customer Responsibilities

Before returning a device, please ensure that you:

  • Back up all important files and personal data.
  • Remove passwords, PINs, screen locks and security accounts where possible.
  • Sign out of Apple ID, Google Account or other activation services.
  • Perform a factory reset if instructed to do so.

PLAN It PC cannot accept responsibility for the loss of personal data during the repair process. We strongly recommend creating a full backup before returning any device.
